Vermentitude blanc 2023

Freshness, fruitiness and body will be present in this natural vintage born from our “Vermentino attitude”.

With a resolute “Vermentino Attitude”, this new micro-cuvée (2000 bottles), devoid of any tricks, is made 100% from Vermentino grapes (also known as Rolle). The unique vinification process and aging for 6 months on total lees in ovoid concrete tanks (60%) and terracotta amphorae (40%) fully express the fruit, body, and freshness of this purely southern grape variety. It describes a complex fruit with delicate notes of lime, pear, and an enchanting fullness and richness. This is a soft and deep wine with texture that can stand alone, enjoyed with a “zen attitude”.

The press is talking about it

L’Alsace – 2020/05/09: What wine to have with asparagus! […] The Eole estate, which practices organic farming, is offering a 2018 Vermentitude vintage, an IGP Alpilles wine. Vermentino (or Rolle) is an Italian white grape variety that is distinctive for its notes of white flowers and citrus, highlighted by hints of licorice. A pleasant mineral touch brings freshness to the palate. This vermentino pairs perfectly with asparagus as well as a lobster terrine and zucchini flower fritters.

7 de table2020/07/31: Lovely white wine with fresh almond and a touch of apple on the nose. The palate provides a lively attack, with a beautifully full mid-palate and, in the finish, a touch of acidity that makes us salivate and invites us to have a second glass! Perfect to accompany a terrace appetizer during this summer. Or to enjoy grilled fish and shrimp.

Saveurs – march 2018: This limited edition organic micro-cuvée of 100% Rolle (Vermentino), the great indigenous grape variety of Provence, was aged in an egg-shaped concrete tank and is limited to only 1600 bottles. In the mouth, it has notes of apple, green almond, sweet spices, hawthorn, pear, blackberry, and pineapple, with a fresh and sensual taste. It pairs well with grilled fish (sea bass, cod, yellow pollack, mackerel), lobster terrine, or roasted lobster.

Challenges – June 23, 2016: In a balance between grace and richness, this 100% Vermentino (a typical Corsican grape variety also known as Rolle in Provence) displays notes of green almond and fresh apple evolving into pear and pineapple. It has managed to maintain a refreshing and delicious taste despite the scorching vintage.
